From small ceremonies to 500-person galas, the Atlanta History Center offers the widest variety of special event venues in the city. Located in the historic neighborhood of Buckhead, our 33 acres of gardens and woodlands offers a unique backdrop for any Atlanta event.

The Grand Overlook features Brazilian cherry wood floors and 14 foot windows overlooking the wooded quarry garden, which makes this a breathtaking event venue. This room can sit up to 500 people for a seated-served dinner or accommodate 725 guests for a standing reception. The courtyard entrance can be used for pre-event cocktails or a small ceremony.

Host an unforgettable outside gathering on the Swan House Lawn and Gardens. Events for 500 people can be held under stately columns on a private lawn, or have an intimate gathering of 70 people in the graceful Boxwood Garden and Porch. Wedding ceremonies in front of the majestic fountains are always a favorite choice and can accommodate some of the largest weddings.

For a truly unique experience, let your guests explore the Atlanta History Museum as part of your event. Up to 130 can be seated in the Allen Atrium which features a two-story ceiling and wood floor. The entire museum can accommodate groups up to 250 people for a one-of-a-kind cocktail hour and reception.

With crystal chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Quarry and the Asian-American gardens, the Members Room in McElreath Hall offers a warm and gracious atmosphere. Using the Atrium and Members Room, you may entertain up to 400 at your evening event.
