I've been taking pictures with a passion since I made my first camera in the 2nd grade (yes, made!)... remember the shoebox camera with a pinhole in it?

Years passed and when I got to college I scooped up every photography class I could get my hands on. Some of my most memorable Saturdays were spent in the darkroom...just me, the radio and my portraits. At the time, I never seriously considered making a career out of taking pictures.

Instead, I went the more practical route and majored in Psychology. I even continued on to earn my M.A. in Professional Counseling some years later. Still, nothing stirred-up that feeling in me like when I was behind the lens. I decided to give it another "shot" and enrolled in the International School of Professional Photography to sharpen my skills. Today, my favorite part is presenting the photographs to my clients. Their wide eyed excitement and emotional "thank you"s truly warm my heart.

The birth of my son, Dylan, really pushed me to pursue my passion full time. I thought, "How can I be the best mother and example I can be if I'm not living an authentic life?". I've held many jobs but now I have a career that satisfies my soul. And, I hope you can feel that in my photographs.
